I’m currently enjoying a week off. Catching up with family, friends and also doing some decorating believe it or not! I’ll back on across South & West Wales on Bridge FM Radio, Swansea Bay Radio, Radio Carmarthenshire, Radio Pembrokeshire & Radio Ceredigion, every weekday afternoon between 3pm & 7pm from Easter Monday.
One of the things that I’ve been putting off for a while is posting something on my website. I was talking to my friend Ed earlier about all the people I’ve been lucky to meet and interview through my radio career so far. I’ve been doing radio for 14 years and been very lucky. The list includes Girls Aloud, Little Mix, Cheryl Cole, Nathan Sykes, The Wanted, Mel C from the Spice Girls, Sophie Ellis Bextor and many more. They were all amazingly friendly and talented people and I was privileged to be able to meet them.
You can hear a selection of some of the interviews I’ve been lucky to secure on my SoundCloud page www.SoundCloud.com/LeeJukes. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed chatting!
I’ve been working on local radio for the past 14 years. In that time, we’ve had many snow days. For me, this is where local radio comes into its own and will always win over the bigger stations.
On a daily basis, your local radio station is in touch with the area that you live in. The presenters have access to information which affects your life. They can react to situations instantly and bring you the very latest information that affects you. This is something that regional and national stations just cannot do in the same way.
The Beast from the East has already caused dangerous low temperatures. With the likelihood of snow in parts of Wales over the next few days, one of the best sources of information to keep safe and on the move will be your local radio station.
You can hear me on across Wales on Bridge FM Radio, Swansea Bay Radio, Radio Carmarthenshire, Radio Pembrokeshire & Radio Ceredigion with the latest local information for each station area weekdays between 3pm & 7pm. Plus, I’ll play you some good tunes!
