Lee was honoured to host the Bridgend Association of Voluntary Organisation’s annual Voluntary Awards. Held at the Heronston Hotel in Bridgend on Friday 3rd November, the afternoon recognised the hard work of local volunteers.
Special guests included Carwyn Jones – Assembly Member for Bridgend, Mayor of Bridgend County Borough Cllr Pam Davies and Consort Tudor Davies, Mayor of Bridgend Town Cllr Stewart Baldwin, David Davies – High Sheriff of Mid Glamorgan, Cllr Huw David, Leader of Bridgend County Borough Council and Tenovus Cancer Care Choir.
Lee said “It was an honour to host the BAVO Volunteer awards for the third year! We have so many inspirational volunteers in our County Borough and it’s great to be able to award some of these inspirational people for their hard work. Volunteers are the life blood of so many vital organisations and without their dedication, some of the organisations wouldn’t be able to do their important work locally. Congratulations to the winners!”
